Habitat Assessment

To determine the habitat health and horned lizard suitability of your land, a site visit is best to identify plants, animals, and evaluate the overall state and succession of the ecological community on your property.

Surveys

In addition to the habitat assessment, surveys like horned lizard presence/absence, social prey insect density, and soil color analysis document valuable information about your habitat and its ability to provide basics like food, camouflage, and cover. Seasonal surveys help to build a broader and more in-depth catalog of organisms and their interactions on your property.

Our mission is to empower people who want to help Texas Horned Lizards. In that spirit, we can suggest species and create custom native plant seed balls with plant species native and locally adapted to your area and situation. Texas Horned Lizards are found from the Gulf coastal tallgrass prairie to Chihuahuan desert shortgrass prairie of the Big Bend and the Trans-Pecos, from northern Mexico up into Kansas and southeast Colorado. We can custom-tailor seed balls for specific areas within this wide range of Horned Lizard homelands.
